Moore House

Los Feliz, CA. Craig Ellwood’s 1965 Moore House sits on a lush lot surrounded by olive trees and perched just below the Griffith Observatory. The home needed some upgrades when the young owners purchased it in 2018. Preserving the layout, the team at Woods + Dangaran focused on upgrading finishes and appliances. We engineered reclaimed teak in one-and-a-half-inch wide planks to match the earth-colored ceramic tile, brass plated hardware, and dark marble used throughout the house. This project was an Architizer + finalist in 2021.
