Siena Way

Bel Air, California. Occupying a steep and narrow site in Bel Air, this home by Plus Development Group is deceptively expansive yet decidedly intimate. The atypical building form follows the natural contours of the site. What results is an organic floor plan that allows the exterior spaces to flow seamlessly into the building, filling the living areas with light and air. Select grade black walnut flooring in our Juniper finish creates a warm glow while maintaining the richness of walnut.

The main space is anchored by two light wells and a monumental stair that brings daylight down to the lower levels. Here, we provided mitered box treads in a matching grade and finish, which preserves continuity between floors. Throughout the 14,000 SF building, complex geometries meet with refined materials to perfectly accentuate the building site while carving out space for both public and private functions.

Matching flooring and wall paneling and an otherwise restrained interior palette of monochromatic black and white finishes allow the home to thoughtfully blend into its natural setting. This ethos is at the heart of our Terra Collection, which showcases the highest level of hardwood flooring craft in North America. The Terra collection highlights the natural beauty of the wood, pure and simple. Relying on quality finishing techniques and a less-is-more approach, Terra is our most honest, least tampered with, collection of hardwood floors.
